Mrs Farmer was originally from Areyonga. She married Mr T. Farmer, who was instrumental in establishing Tjukurla community, and their children continue to live in Tjukurla and Docker River.
Her daughter, Julieanne, is an arts worker, painter and Director for the art centre.
Mrs Farmer's paintings are joyful, colourful works which evoke the bright colours of desert flowers and other flora.
