"This is the Tjukurrpa my father told me to paint – Only one, really one."

This work depicts the country near Kaltukatjara, where there are lots of grasstrees, an iconic and prehistoric-looking staple of the Western Desert landscape. In the Tjukurrpa (creation stories) associated with this area, some men, women and children were turned into these grass trees.
