Tjilkamata II

Here, Carol has painted the Tjukurrpa (Dreaming story) of Tjilkamata. This work depicts the country near Kaltukatjara, where there are lots of grasstrees, an iconic and prehistoric-looking staple of the Western Desert landscape. In the Tjukurrpa associated with this area, some men, women and children were turned into these grass trees. 
This is the Tjukurrpa my father told me to paint. "Only one, really one" says Carol.

All works are shipped insured, tracked and express through TNT or Australia Post. Please be mindful of our remote location when awaiting your purchase, all freight leaves our communities on the once-weekly mail plane.

Due to the nature of art centre operations, with artists being paid directly from each sale, we cannot return, exchange or refund orders for a change of mind. If there is physical damage to your artwork, we will refund the purchase. Please contact us within 10 days of receipt.
