Irriya III

40.6cm x 76.2cm

This work captures the essence of a storytelling moment at the rockholes, where two men share tales and observations.

At the rockholes of Irriya, two men were sitting down telling stories. They were having a close look at the rockhole there. They went back to tell the others, who were at Karku, about this place and what they had seen there.

The artwork vividly depicts the rejuvenated bushland post-rain. Through an array of organic shapes and a rich palette that brings the blooming wildflowers and undulating sandhills to life.
