The painting’s flowing lines and dense dot work evoke the serpent’s movements through the landscape.

In Tjitji Kutjara, Roy Yaltjanki tells a Dreaming story of two cheeky boys who traveled with the Wanambi (rainbow serpent). The sinuous, flowing lines of the painting mimic the serpent's movements, and Roy's use of dense dotting and geometric shapes overlays the landscape’s features, such as waterholes and sandhills. Roy's style reflects both his cultural heritage and his own personal connection to the land.
